  • Goodwill’s Ambassador trailer will receive donations through Sept. 7 in Worthington. Donations can be placed in the trailer located in the north end of parking lot at the Runnings Fleet & Farm store on North Humiston Avenue. Donations are to be placed as far to the front of the trailer as possible.Goodwill accepts donations of sellable clothing, usable working small appliances, household goods, sporting goods and toys.Donations are processed and sold in Goodwill stores to support programs and services for people with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions.

  •  Saturday September 11 - The annual Remember Rally for 9-11 and military personnel will be held Saturday, Sept. 11 in Luverne. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. at the Howling Dog Saloon and the ride will leave at 12:30. The motorcycle run of approximately 150 miles will include free door prizes at each stop. The goal of Remember Rally is to build a specialized health facility for people affected by chemical or toxin exposures. The Patriot Guard has donated an American flag with the names of those killed during the 9-11 attacks printed on the flag. An open auction for the flag is underway.
